Description Jackson Tower Clock on the old Oregon Journal building SW Broadway and Yamhill Streets,Portland. The building was constructed by the Oregon Journal, named for its founder and publisher, C. S. Jackson. The newspaper moved into it in 1912 and occupied it until the 1940s when it outgrew the premises. The Jackson Tower Building has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1996.
