Artist's renditions of proposed new Oregon Capitol building, early 1870s. Views 2-45 is drawn by Murray Wade. in the early 1870s. Noteworthy features are a central dome with two smaller side domes. Views 2-46 is a drawing of the proposed Capitol from West Shore Magazine, which bears a resemblance to the actual Capitol which was begun in 1873 and finished (except for the dome) in 1876. |
